I was invited to perform in the Campus City Concert in Taiwan on 2006/1/20 and 2006/1/21. They asked me to perform the song "This World" written and originally recorded by my brother. The original version was released in 1987, 4 months after my brother passed away. He was 22. I decided to make a new arrangement to give the song a more contemporary sound.

In my new arrangement, I added one verse of another popular song in Taiwan called "If There Is Still A Tomorrow." (Listen from 3'05" to 3'28".) This song was originally recorded in 1990 by another famous artist in Taiwan named Hsueh Yueh, who passed away a few months after this song was released. He was 36. In a way, I see my version as a tribute to these great artists who left us so young in their lives.

I also added bits of 2 English songs in this arrangement, including Earth, Wind & Fire's "That's The Way Of The World" (during the last minute of the song). I sang the whole falsetto chorus myself. There is also 1 line of "Stairway To Heaven" at the very end because this was my brother's favorite song, so I sang this 1 line to him.

The second version "Pearl Milk Tea Mix" is only "This World" without any of the added songs.

(English translation)

In this world
There's a little bit of hope
There's a little bit of disappointment
I often see this world this way

In this world
There's a little bit of joy
There's a little bit of sorrow
No one can avoid them

Our world is really not as bad as you describe
You really shouldn't lament

With your care and all the love
Bring some beautiful colors to this world
