I was invited to perform in the
Campus City Concert in Taiwan on 2006/1/20 and 2006/1/21. They asked me to perform the song "This World" written and originally recorded by
my brother. The original version was released in 1987, 4 months after my brother passed away. He was 22. I decided to make a new arrangement to give the song a more contemporary sound.
In my new arrangement, I added one verse of another popular song in Taiwan called "If There Is Still A Tomorrow." (Listen from 3'05" to 3'28".) This song was originally recorded in 1990 by another famous artist in Taiwan named Hsueh Yueh, who passed away a few months after this song was released. He was 36. In a way, I see my version as a tribute to these great artists who left us so young in their lives.
I also added bits of 2 English songs in this arrangement, including Earth, Wind & Fire's "That's The Way Of The World" (during the last minute of the song). I sang the whole falsetto chorus myself. There is also 1 line of "Stairway To Heaven" at the very end because this was my brother's favorite song, so I sang this 1 line to him.
The second version "Pearl Milk Tea Mix" is only "This World" without any of the added songs.
